God has given each of us unique talents and abilities to glorify Him and further His Kingdom. For some, that gift is writing. God chose to preserve His Word through the written words of men. Moses wrote the Torah. Prophets recorded God's messages. Paul wrote letters to churches that we still read today. The Gospel writers recorded the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Writing was a rare ability to have. Usually only high officials, trained scribes, and priests could write. Most common people didn’t even know how to read. Writing has a certain power that few other skills do, and God particularly used it to glorify Himself and further His Kingdom through the Bible. What a blessing it is that God gave mankind the ability to write His Word for us. If you can read or write, don't take that ability for granted. Use it for God's glory. And if you're not a strong reader or writer yet, pursue that. You never know how God might use it. Writing is more than a skill. In the hands of God, it can become a tool for His Kingdom.
